Nitrogen Gas Generation Skid
The main uses of
Nitrogen generators in oil fields include filling explosion-proof equipment, refrigerants, removing pollutants, oil field production, nitrogen protection, and other aspects.
Filling explosion-proof equipment: In oil fields, there are a large amount of flammable and explosive gases. In order to avoid accidents, nitrogen gas needs to be filled to create an inert atmosphere inside the equipment, thereby reducing the possibility of accidents.
Refrigerant: Nitrogen is also an important refrigerant in oil fields and can be used in constant temperature and humidity laboratories, refrigerators, and freezers.
Removing pollutants: Nitrogen generators can remove moisture, oxygen, and other pollutants from the air, ensuring purity requirements during the production process and thus guaranteeing product quality.
Oilfield production: During the process of oilfield extraction, a large amount of nitrogen needs to be injected to increase the internal pressure of the oilfield and push the underground reservoir, causing difficult to extract oil and gas to surface.
Nitrogen protection: During petrochemical processes or handling of flammable and explosive hazardous materials, nitrogen generators can generate high-purity nitrogen gas to protect hazardous chemicals and ensure the safety of the production process.
These uses together ensure the safety and efficiency of oilfield production, while also improving product qualityNitrogen is used in a wide range of areas within the oil and gas industry to prevent fire and explosion hazards - both onshore and offshore. For example, nitrogen is used for headspace flushing of oil tanks in refineries or oil tankers. If oil is removed from the storage tanks, the oil level in the tank drops.
Nitrogen is also widely used for a variety of applications in the drilling, workover and completion phases of oil and gas wells, as well as in pigging and purging pipelines for oil and gas industry.
Selecting the right type of Nitrogen generator for your application
