Carbon Deoxidation technology
The oxygen in the nitrogen from the
PSA nitrogen generator, after going through the carbon-loaded deoxidant heated with certain temperature, will be react with the carbon to from CO2 and small amount of CO. The impurities like CO2, after being condensate by water, will be desorbed by the adsorbent in the dryer, while the dust will be removed by the filter.
The nitrogen with purity of no low than 99.9% (usually 99.9% to 99.95%), from the PSA nitrogen generator enters the deoxidizer containing palladium carbon fiber( we call it carbon deoxidizer) after heating. The oxygen in the nitrogen and the carbon containing catalyst will undergo the following chemical reactions under the action of catalyst palladium
C + O2 = CO2
Under the action of catalyst, the chemical reaction is complete, and the residual oxygen content in nitrogen after deoxidation can be less than 3 ppm. The deoxidized nitrogen enters the adsorber equipped with molecular sieve after cooling. The moisture and CO2 in the nitrogen are deeply absorbed by the molecular sieve, and the high-purity nitrogen can be obtained after filtration. The advantage of this process is that there is no hydrogen content in the product nitrogen, which is especially suitable for occasions with strict requirements for hydrogen content. However, the deoxidizer (palladium carbon fiber) in the deoxidizer is a consumable type. The deoxidizer replacement cycle of this device designed by us for your company is three months. After three months of use, the deoxidizer can be switched to ensure continuous production. Another fully reactive deoxidizer needs to be replaced again. In order to consider the convenience of refueling, our company has designed the feeding and discharging ports to simplify the refueling process. It will not affect the normal operation of the equipment.
